What did Mr. Keating mean by "Sucking the marrow out of life does not mean choking on the bone?"  Provide an example.

  1. What he meant by it is that you should do everything you can to get the most out of life, but not make a fool out of yourself. Don’t make stupid mistakes, or cause accidents that could have been avoided. Carpe diem- live life to the fullest.

  2. What Mr. Keating meant was, it is important to live life to the fullest and seize big moments, but there can come a time when the carpe diem goes too far and brings on serious consequences. You stillgot to think before you act. When taking actions, you need to take precaution. For example, In the old karate kid movie, daniel took action by kicking open the apartment gate, when after he did it, he hurt another boy on the other side of the gate

  3. What he meant was, that you should live life and try to enjoy it the most we can. We should also realize what we are doing in life is not ruining ourselves or others around us.

  4. Mr. Keating meant that he wanted the boys to seize the day, live life to the fullest, but he didn't want them to get into unnecessary trouble because of it. Seizing the day can make your life happier and more fulfilling, but if you are too ambitious and do not take precautions, then seizing the day can lead to pain and suffering. Mr. Keating was telling them not to go to far on his advice.

  5. Mr. Keating meant that he wanted the boys to seize the day. He didnt mean to be stupid though, and hurt others in your way. He meant be brave but smart at the same time. He didnt want them to take things too far.

  6. What Mr. Keating was saying, "Sucking the marrow out of life does not mean choking on the bone." Meaning you should always enjoy life and make the most of it to make better sense of who you are. However, there are times where you should settle down and not get to the point where you have to have consequences by the joy. Some people need to think before they act out.

  7. I think that Keating was saying how he wanted to boys to seize the day and to live life to the fullest. Get every bit of fun and good times out of life and don't get caught up in the bad parts of life.

  8. What Mr. Keating meant by saying this was that he wanted the boys to realize what they can do in life and how they can be creative, but he also was warning them that if they do stupid things then the consequences are not always going to be good, and so they need to make sure to evaluate the situation before they do something and determine how the consequences are going to affect them.

  9. I Think Mr. Kneating meant that when you are sucking the marrow its related to experiencing life, but if you try to go through life to quickly then you will choke on the bone and miss out on everything that you should of enjoyed
