  8. I think the teacher just wanted them to have fun in the moment, but also to realize that poetry can come in all sets of forms and sizes. There really shouldn't be rules that say what you can write and what you can't.

  9. I think that the teacher just wanted them to see that poetry isn't just in the books, and that you can make your own poetry by however you want.

  10. I think that the teacher wanted to boys to realize that poetry does not follow a set sequence. By ripping out the pages it showed the boys that poetry must come from the heart and mind.

  11. I think that the teacher had them do this so that it would promote creativity in their lives, and they would realize that poetry is fun and it doesn't have rules like they think it does. It was something unusual for them that made them change their perspective.

  12. That poetry can't be measured by a graph, that its about the individual who reads and writes it and what they get from it that makes it count and matter, because its all based on ones life experiences that makes a poem worth and mean something to begin with

  13. The point of ripping out the pages, was to teach the boys to look beyond the pages, and not always see how things are suppose to be done, but what could be done your own way. It brings courage, and makes a stand, showing you know what you're talking about. Don't let others tell you what to do all the time, stand your ground and rip the page

  14. I think the point of it was to help them not be restricted to a certain point of view. That they need to think for themselves and use they're imagination when they read poems.

  15. The point of Mr. Keating having them rip out the pages of the textbook was to try to teach the students to think for themselves and not accept what is presented to them simply because it is in the textbook.
